Deep Strokes are coming off a tough loss to (3) 3’s Please, 115-90. Deep Strokes are looking for some consistency with their two studs, Gideon Measner and Cole Heygi. If their whole team shoes up, they are a tough team to beat. They are led by Garret Ahlbrand, also known as Lil’ Reggie for his sharpshooting 3 point ability. Cole Heygi is the leading scorer of this squad, he can score at all 3 levels with ease and he's extremely hard to stop. Gideon Measner adds height and athleticism to this team which they needed desperately when they signed him. He can also step out and hit the 3. Logan Schultz is debatably the best point guard in the league. He plays great defense (leads the league in steals), handles the ball well, rarely turns it over, has great court vision, and he has proven he can shoot when you leave him open. Bradley Greene is their backup point guard who is a smooth lefty who is extremely crafty. He's very versatile and can score from all 3 levels. Then finally, we get to Josh Boyle. Boyle is their hustle player is knows his role on the team. He is there to make lay ups, crash the boards, and play good defense. Watch of for Deep Strokes this week.
Team Breakdown: Dolla Dolla Beal
Dolla Dolla Beal is coming off a big loss to (11) Thunderbirds, 109-108 as Deegan Gearding hit a last second 3 pointer to win the game. Dolla Dolla Beal could be the most inconsistent team in the league, when most captains picked them to be one of the front runners to cut down the nets at the end of the year. 9th ranked Dolla Dolla Beal is 3-4 and they are led by CBA Veteran Nate McGovney. McGovney could very well be the MVP right now, his numbers talk for themselves. He's got freakish athleticism, can shoot the lights out, and he plays good defense. His brother, Trent McGovney, is also having a very good year, as he has proven to be one of the best 3 point shooters in the league. This duo of brothers is extremely fun to watch. John Ludwig is another great shooter who is an absolute sniper from the 3 point line. You can't give him any room or he's knocking it down. Griffin McHugh is a versatile ¾ type of player who can stretch the defense out when he's knocking the 3 ball down, and he can bang down low with the big boys. Ryan Hans is a good shooter who is a role player for this team. He plays great defense and hustles on every play. Lastly, we get to Kenny Ball, who Dolla Dolla Beal recently signed. They were missing him in their loss last game against the Thunderbirds. If Dolla Dolla Beal has their whole team together and plays to their potentional, the whole league knows they can Hoist the 2016 CBA Finals trophy at the end of the year.
